The T20 World Cup, officially known as the ICC T20 Men’s World Cup, debuted in 2007. The International Cricket Council (ICC) launched this tournament to capitalize on the rising popularity of the T20 format, which provides a fast-paced and thrilling version of cricket.
The ICC T20 Men’s World Cup is typically conducted every two years. However, there may be occasional adjustments to the schedule based on various factors, including global cricketing calendars and other international events.
The global governing body of Cricket is the International Cricket Council (ICC). It is responsible for organizing the T20 World Cup, setting the rules and regulations, and overseeing the tournament’s operations including developing sport globally and managing anti-corruption measures. It was established in 1909.

Super 8: Teams progressing from the group stage join pre-qualified teams in the Super 8 stage, which also uses a round-robin format and is divided into two groups.
Knockout Stage: The best teams from the Super 8 stage advance to the semi-finals, with the winners of the semi-finals battling in the final to determine the champion.
Tie-breakers: In the event of a tie, a Super Over is employed to decide the winner.

Each team has a group of 15 players, including batsmen, bowlers, all-rounders, and wicketkeepers. Teams often include both experienced players and rising stars.
Medals and Trophy
Trophy: The ICC T20 World Cup trophy is awarded to the winning team. It is a silver trophy designed to symbolize the pinnacle of success in the T20 format.
